Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance services are designed for nonemergency inter-facility transportation between hospitals, assisted living facilities or nursing homes and private homes, pre-hospital response for ill or injured patients and medical standbys.
Emergency lights and sirens are not used for all ambulance transports. Many of our patients require ambulance transportation on a non-emergency basis for medically necessary, prescheduled transfers between hospitals and other healthcare facilities. In fact, we have many contracts with facilities as their preferred provider of non-emergency interfacility ambulance services. Each ambulance is staffed with two compassionate, Emergency Medical Technicians.
